    Position Summary:On-site management of the Hualapai Ranch Operations. Responsible for providing an outstanding western experience for guests while visiting or staying at the Ranch. Direct supervision over supervisors or staff of the barn facility, providing trail and hay rides to guests, Food and Beverage at the Ranch, office, gift shop, housekeeping and Street Entertainers. Responsible for daily, monthly and yearly cash flow, room occupancy, purchasing, ticket and gift shop sales documentation for the Ranch. Working closely with the Marketing Manager, create marketing and collateral materials and tourism venue presentations to support and sell the Ranch facilities and accommodations to international and domestic tour operators, as well as individual tourists. Conduct site inspections and coordinate special events. Responsible for overseeing ranch facility maintenance and care of all livestock. Acts as a Hualapai ambassador. Responsible for financial and budgetary oversight of operations and leading, coaching and developing Hualapai Ranch employees.

    Knowledge and Abilities:1. Prior management experience, preferably at a ranch, hospitality or entertainment venue with retail sales involvement.2. Ability to make financial, budgetary and strategic business decisions related to Ranch operations with basic accounting skills.3. Demonstrated ability to interact with guests and tour groups and provide prompt, outstanding customer service.4. Demonstrated ability to understand questions being asked and provide detailed information regarding tour options.5. Knowledge of livestock, including daily maintenance and medical care.6. Ability to manage a ranch operation and develop and oversee western cowboy entertainment offerings for guests.7. Ability to lead, coach, train, develop and motivate Ranch employees and supervisors to ensure customer expectations are exceeded and handled promptly, accurately and courteously.8. Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, concise manner and handle escalated issues or guests that are not happy. Ability to remain calm in focused under pressure.9. Demonstrated ability to foster a team environment, multi-task efficiently and maintain positive working relationships.10. Knowledge of Grand Canyon West locations, operations and Hualapai history and culture.Duties & Responsibilities:1. Responsible for all on-site Hualapai Ranch operations at Grand Canyon West.2. Develops, communicates and implements all Ranch policies and procedures. Monitors policies and procedures, watching for the possible need to change in order to meet Company guidelines or directives.3. Responsible for meeting Ranch training needs as well as being proficient in utilizing computer software and in training employees on its’ use.4. Responsible for Ranch financial, budgetary and strategic business related matters. Ensures proper cash and credit handling policies and procedures are followed and all sales and financial reports are completed accurately and timely, on a daily, monthly and annual basis.5. Responsible for retail merchandising and sales at the ranch.6. Responsible for oversight over ranch food and beverage facilities.7. Provide guests information and train new employees about Hualapai history, culture, western cowboy ways and Grand Canyon West. Ensure all customer interactions are prompt, accurate and courteous and that they are provided a western experience.8. Responsible for vendor management and purchasing of all supplies and merchandise for the Ranch operation.9. Create marketing and collateral materials and tourism venue presentations to support and sell the Ranch facilities and accommodations to international and domestic tour operators and individual tourist groups with the Marketing Manager.10. Coordinate and oversee special events at the ranch. Create special event offerings appropriate for a western facility.11. Ensure facility is in full compliance with all state and local government requirements.12. Oversee facility preventive and daily maintenance.13. Responsible for medical and daily care of all livestock. Maintain all medical records, as appropriate.14. Foster team environment and assist team in handling escalated issues or difficult or unhappy guests.15. Perform regular and timely Performance Evaluation discussions and documentation with members of team and promote team environment while providing individual growth opportunities for Direct Reports. Hold supervisors accountable for completing Performance Evaluations and discussions.16. Ensure that all communications are shared with employees in a timely and accurate manner, as appropriate.17. Keep the General Manager - GCW apprised of all issues and concerns.18. Perform other work-related duties as assigned.Qualifications:1. Strong oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.2. Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.3. High School Diploma or GED, college degree preferred.4. Prior ranch, hospitality or entertainment venue management with retail sales experience.5. Preference given to Hualapai Tribal members.

    Working Conditions:A mix of office environment with frequent need to be in an outdoor environment, despite weather conditions. Dress in western attire.Must be able to work varying schedules, weekends and holidays.
