    Position Summary:

    This position is responsible for the wholistic oversight of IT operations for Grand Canyon Resort Corporation. Responsible for the management, strategy and execution of IT infrastructure, including all aspects of IT on-site, contracted and cloud infrastructure. This includes security, reliability and regular maintenance of servers, network, telecommunications, desktop and handheld devices as well as printers, scanners and other peripherals. Oversees the researching and planning for implementation of the most recent IT technologies. Responsible for recruiting, retaining and developing highly qualified IT Team Members, providing them with leadership and coaching, and staffing the IT department to ensure adequate coverage, 24/7/365 of IT systems at multiple locations. Provides frequent reporting of key IT metrics as well as evolving needs and challenges to Executive Leadership and the Board of Directors. Responsible for financial oversight of IT inventory, expenses, operations and providing effective help desk assistance to the organization.

    Key responsibilities:

    · Ensures that the technology needs of the corporation are being met, and the ability to proactively identify organizational needs for growth that drive bottom line performance

    · Creates an environment of trust, both internally within IT as well as externally with other departments, GCRC’s partners, and the Board and Tribal Council

    · Provides the vision, insight, innovation and strategic planning for key system upgrades and replacements. Address new opportunities and requirements, as well as emerging technologies and capabilities

    · Prioritizes physical and cyber security, governance, risk management, change control and compliance to protect the company, its people, assets and customers

    · Provides value to the organization throughout all aspects of the IT department, including IT scheduling, GCW and its revenue systems, and continual updates of those systems

    · Responsible for building and developing and strategy-orientated IT team of professionals that reflect GCRC’s vision, constantly focused on building positive working relationships, growing the business, and improving bottom-line performance. Develop and prepare IT Team Members to grow within the organization, and take on new challenges and responsibilities

    · Creates budgeting and forecasting to monitor performance and maximize return on all technology investments

    · Continually fine tunes measurement of key IT metrics using business intelligence (BI) tools; key performance indicators (KPIs); and Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT)

    · Ensures that all routine maintenance and updates are performed in a timely manner, new software versions are analyzed for maximum efficiency, and systems are kept up to date

    · Ensures adequate staff coverage, 24/7/365, of IT systems and revenue systems at multiple locations

    Knowledge and Abilities:

    · Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written, with all levels of the organization

    · Ability to communicate technical information in a way that others can understand

    · Intrinsically motivated to operate at a high level independently and with minimal oversight and supervision

    · Ability to make effective presentations on complex topics to leadership, peer and professional groups and to the Board of Directors and Tribal Council

    · Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents and operating manuals

    · Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of problems.

    · Proficient knowledge of company operations, applications and Microsoft server, desktop and Office products and services

    · Ability to perform independent problem resolution, develop action plans and follow through accordingly

    · Ability to lead in a team environment, multi-task efficiently and maintain positive working relationships

    · Demonstrated ability to handle difficult situations

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    Develop and implement strategic initiatives to ensure network security measures to protect data, hardware and software

    Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including hardware, systems software, applications software and all configurations

    · Gather data pertaining to customer needs and use the information to identify, predict, interpret and evaluate system and network requirements; keep the CEO or CFO apprised of all critical issues or concerns

    Perform other related duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    · Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills

    · Mastery of all necessary software applications and network hardware, as appropriate for a complex, fast paced, and evolving organization with multiple business locations and points of infrastructure

    · Bachelors’ degree in IT or a related field, required

    · Minimum of ten (10) years’ IT experience in a leadership capacity at a large organization with multiple business locations

    · Relevant IT certifications, preferred

    · Ability to travel up 40% of the time, as directed by CEO/CFO

    · Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record; ability to obtain approval to operate company vehicles, required

    · Preference given to Hualapai Tribal members

    Working Conditions:

    · Typical office environment with occasional exposure to heights and extreme heat and cold

    · May be exposed to moving mechanical parts and complex electrical systems

    · Must be able to routinely walk, stand, bend, crawl and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.

    · Must be able to work weekends and holidays if required for key projects and initiatives

    · Must be willing to travel to remote locations
