Position: Maintenance Technician - Lodge Department: Hualapai Lodge Classification: Non-Exempt Salary Range: H4 Supervisor: Hotel Manager

Position Summary: Provides maintenance and repair services for the Hualapai Lodge. Typical duties would include plumbing, electrical services, general equipment maintenance and maintaining building facility. Interprets operating, maintenance and repair manuals. Provides quality customer service at all times while following safety and health procedures and policies.

Knowledge and Abilities:

1. Ability to physically complete and have the knowledge to perform maintenance and repair duties such as plumbing, electrical services, maintenance of building, pool and repairing equipment.
2. Ability to read and understand operating, maintenance and repair manuals for equipment, machinery and all maintenance services offered. Some of this information may be obtained through online methods.
3. Ability to monitor the condition and maintenance of equipment, machinery and structures.
4. Ability to routinely walk, stand, bend and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to climb ladders and go up on roof.
5. Ability to work outdoors, if needed.
6. Ability to work in a team environment and establish and maintain positive working relationships. Good client/customer service skills and the ability to work independently as well as in support of the group effort.
7. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Perform maintenance and repair of equipment, accommodations, structures, pool and machinery at the Hualapai Lodge. This may include welding, plumbing, electrical services, etc.
2. Monitor the condition and maintain logs of maintenance and repair activities for equipment, machinery, pool and structures.
3. Interpret and translate into action information provided by maintenance and repair manuals, either online or in the physical manuals.
4. Maintain safety and security standards of all guest rooms per guidelines.
5. Answer visitor/tourists questions, gives directions, share information about the Hualapai history and culture.
6. Maintain maintenance equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition. Label, dilute and use all chemicals in a proper manner. Follow safety and health policies and procedures at all times.
7. Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Good oral communication skills.
2. High School Diploma or GED.
3. Preference given to Hualapai Tribal members.

Working Conditions: Position requires ability to work indoors as well as in outdoor environment occasionally, regardless of weather conditions. Must be able to routinely walk, stand, bend and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs. as part of duties. Must be able to work varying schedules, weekends and holidays.
