    Position Summary:

    Under supervision of the Transit Manager and Assistant Transit Manager, successful applicant will supervise the daily operation of the Guest shuttle at the Grand Canyon West. When necessary, will operate vehicles on route within GCW, will maintain customer service standards and paperwork as necessary.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    Supervise GCW driving Staff, organize and monitor work processes

    Maintain quality of customer service by coaching, counseling and disciplining employees

    Monitor and appraise job results making schedule/route adjustments as necessary

    Liaison between Hualapai Transit and GCRC

    Maintain safe and healthy work environment by enforcing standards and adhering to legal regulations

    Enforces and, if necessary, implements systems, policies and procedures

    Maintain established COVID-19 protocols established by the Transit department with the guidance of the CDC

    Oversee operations, scheduling, routing, maintenance and related required paperwork

    Provide excellent customer service by enforcing quality and customer service standards

    As assigned, coordinates “Hop on, hop off” shuttle service by servicing the loading/un-loading locations of the property tour.

    Completes a daily vehicle pre/mid/post inspection including oil, fuel and fluid levels, lifts, doors, tires, etc., and records such on a maintenance checklist; reports malfunctions as necessary; cleans and fuels vehicle. Completes and maintains vehicle logbook.

    Operates a property tour transit shuttle, as part of the GCW Transit System, transporting passengers from one location to another, as directed by route, or supervisor.

    Other tasks and duties as deemed necessary by Transit Management

    Knowledge and Abilities:

    Must have and maintain excellent attendance record

    Must have supervisory background

    Must have excellent customer service skills

    Must maintain positive and professional work environment

    Must be able to pass mandatory drug screen prior to employment

    Geography and layout of property route and general description of GCW.

    Operation of transit vehicles, wheelchair lifts, safety equipment and fueling systems.

    Identifying maintenance needs and mechanical problems and refers for repair.

    Following and maintaining safety standards, and identifying safety problems

    Qualifications:

    Possession of or ability to obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Commercial Driver's License (CDL), minimum of Class C, with "P" or "B" endorsement, driver's license.

    An excellent driving records.

    Provide extraordinary customer service

    Be able to provide a basic knowledge of the Grand Canyon and Hualapai culture

    Good oral and interpersonal communication skills

    High school diploma or GED

    Preference given to Hualapai Tribal members.

    Working Conditions:

    Requires transportation of passengers over a predetermined tour route with loading and unloading zones at designated tour stops.

    Must be able to work varying schedules, weekends, holidays.

    Position requires sitting for some length of time with constant head, arm, hand and foot movement
