    Job Description

    • Creating graphics and design layouts for print ads, flyers, email newsletters, the GRSSC homepage, blog, and social media accounts
    • Collaborating with the marketing department and support campaigns with design solutions
    • Learning from industry leading designers, how to apply design theory to marketing campaigns and advance techniques for software ranging from Adobe Illustrator, Corel, and Picasa to make pixel perfect illustrations 
    • Incorporating UI/UX best practices in website design and layout, and adapt designs for mobile formats
    • Assisting in managing day to day operations in the office
    • Establishing a relationship with vendors, facilities, and the community to support our growing brand
    • Creating a social experience and environment for league members
    • Developing new paths and opportunities for sponsorship
    • Attending league social events
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Successful candidates will come to the role with a strong background in graphic arts
    • Prior experience creating graphics and a solid grasp of design concepts
    • Comfort working in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign, Corel, and Illustrator
    • Enthusiasm for the design process and attentiveness to different project goals
    • Pursuing or completed a Bachelor or Master degree in a related field
    • Ability to use or, learn to use, various computer software programs 
    • Detail oriented •Ability to work as part of, and lead a team that collaborates effectively with colleagues
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
    • Knowledge of standard practices and demonstrated experiences in event management, hospitality & tourism and/or special events administration
    • Entrepreneurial spirit and enthusiasm; strong communication and presentation skills
    • Analytic skills to: identify problems, assess alternatives, and render consistent, logical decisions
    • Ability to thrive in an environment that values high expectations, accountability, and balanced life choices
    • Extremely outgoing & Energetic
    • Be willing and reliable to work variable hours

    Additional Information

     

    • Interns will be eligible for course credit designated by their University/College.
    • Internship will be unpaid, however commission may be earned from referrals and all Interns will be eligible to register for a free season with GRSSC upon completion of their internship.
    • Internship 1 semester (18 weeks) in length.
