  • Responsibilities

    GrandyOats is hiring a Production Planner to organize our production processes according to demand and quality standards. The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, ensuring the smooth and cost-efficient flow of our production operations and organizing the efficient distribution of goods and materials. 

    The candidate should have strong analytical skills, be organized, well-versed in production procedures and ways to optimize them and have a results-driven approach together with great problem-solving skills. Advanced communication and computer skills are also required. Excel spreadsheet management and creation is a necessity.

    We expect you to possess an analytical mindset with creative approach to tasks along with the ability to find patterns and correlation when dealing with big volumes of information. You should also be able to work under a flexible schedule and report on your findings in a detailed and straightforward manner.

    Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    Management of databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality

    • Collect required data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
    • Retrieve information from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
    • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
    • Review computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators 
    • Collaborate with management to prioritize business and information needs
    • Find and evaluate new process improvement opportunities
    • Plan and organize production workflow for one or multiple products
    • Review and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
    • Help estimate project needs of manpower, equipment and raw materials
    • Help set goals, tasks and priorities for workers and other staff
    • Work with management to set shifts according to production needs
    • Collect output information, including number of finished products and percentage of defectives 
    • Create status and performance reports and present them to managers
    • Work together with purchasing, logistics,  quality control, warehouse and other staff 
    • Reconcile Finished and Raw materials 
    • Contract Management System
    • Extract Financial Report for Accounting

    Our ideal candidate will have:

    • Experience with production planning

    • Experience in manufacturing resource planning

    • Excellent knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets, including Excel, SPSS, SAS, ERP system

    • Strong math and statistics skills

    • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

    • Good communication abilities

    • High school diploma; additional degree or certification will be a bonus

    • Significant experience of working with data models, database design development, and segmentation techniques

    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

    • Good report writing and presenting skills

    • Excellent knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets, including Excel, SPSS, SAS, ERP system

    • Strong math and statistics skills

    • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

    • Good communication abilities

    • High school diploma; additional degree or certification will be a bonus

    • Good practical experience with reporting packages (e.g. Business Objects), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks)

    • Significant experience of working with data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques

    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

    • Good report writing and presenting skills
