Title: Grant Accountant/Finance & Compliance Manager
Location: On-site/Hybrid, Aurora, CO | Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000 + full benefits (medical, dental, PTO, 401k match, and more)
Are you a finance professional with a strong background in grant compliance and nonprofit financial oversight? We’re looking for a Grant Accountant/Finance & Compliance Manager to strengthen financial stewardship, oversee compliance systems, and support organizational sustainability. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple funding sources, ensure fiscal accountability, and directly support programs that make a difference in the community.
What You’ll Do:
- Monitor compliance with federal, state, and private grant agreements, including relevant federal regulations
- Build and maintain processes to track reporting deadlines, expense eligibility, and funding requirements
- Train staff on compliance expectations and provide technical assistance to program leaders
- Support post-award grant activities, including reporting and close-out procedures
- Partner with leadership to refine and update finance and compliance policies
- Conduct internal reviews and recommend process improvements to reduce risk
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and financial reporting
- Prepare materials and serve as a resource during annual audits
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of progressive experience in nonprofit finance, compliance, or grant management
- Familiarity with federal grant regulations and nonprofit accounting standards
- Experience developing internal controls and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across teams
- Professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to accountability
