A large, private organization is seeking a Grant Accountant with a good accounting foundation and excellent Excel skills. This role supports the financial tracking and reporting of multiple grants and funded projects.
Responsibilities
- Maintain grant schedules and budget-to-actual reports
- Reconcile grant activity and related balance sheet accounts
- Monitor spending for compliance with grant terms and restrictions
- Support month-end close related to grant revenue and expenses
- Prepare financial reports and analysis using advanced Excel
- Maintain organized documentation for audits and reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of accounting experience (grant or project accounting preferred)
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, advanced formulas)
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational abilities
- Experience with general ledger systems preferred
