    Role and Responsibilities

    GLT is seeking a skilled candidate for Project Manager with mechanical engineering knowledge.  The successful candidate will work with clients to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. He or she will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible.  We are looking for a creative and dedicated individual who will fit with our collaborative culture.     RESPONSIBILITIES

    PROJECT MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

    ·        Developing, reviewing, and maintaining project schedules

    ·        Developing project scopes, management plans, requirements documents, and statements of work

    ·        Developing and updating comments resolution matrices

    ·        Documenting and distributing meeting minutes and action items

    ·        Tracking and monitoring action items for reporting through completion

    ·        Utilizing collaboration site to track minutes, action items, assist in the response to requests for status, and maintaining the team site’s content to ensure it is relevant, accurate, and up to date

    ·        Seeking the necessary approvals for responses, as needed

    ·        Capturing requirements from meetings

    ·        Managing customer’s consultation process to include coordinating engagement meetings and follow-ups

    ·        Performing analysis of functional areas to recommend changes, when necessary

    ·        Researching best practices and highlighting techniques and/or tools that will fit the needs for an enhanced IT governance posture

    MECHANICAL ENGINEERING RESPONSIBILITIES:

    ·        Writing/reviewing technical documentation for infrastructure mechanical systems

    ·        Ensuring that proposed mechanical systems meet compliance regulations

    ·        Collaborating with project managers and other engineers.

    ·        Evaluates mechanical systems by applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and/or materials.

    ·        Confirms system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods and properties.

    ·        Develops mechanical and electromechanical statements of work by studying customer requirements, researching methods and materials; and soliciting information from manufacturers and other subject matter experts

    ·        Assures system and product quality by designing or evaluating testing methods; testing finished product and system capabilities; and confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes

    ·        Create and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using computer software

    ·        Collaborate with multi-disciplinary subject matter experts, and work with vendors and contractors

    ·        Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design process

    ·        Ensure project timeline is met and project stays within budget

    Qualifications and Education Requirements

    ·        Bachelors’ degree in mechanical engineering or related field

    ·        Ability to prioritize tasks

    ·        3+ years of related project management experience required

    ·        Verbal and written communication skills. 

    ·        Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

    ·        Organizational skills and attention to detail

    ·        Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

    ·        PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications highly desirable

    ·        Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required

    ·        US Citizen with an ability to pass public trust clearance

    ·        Firm grasp of engineering concepts, and experience designing mechanical systems and products

    ·        Excellent math skills: ability to apply advanced mathematical principles and statistics to solve problems

    ·        Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability

    ·        Ability to communicate effectively and clearly

    ·        Must be self-motivated and a great team worker

    ·        Experience working in the mechanical engineering field.

    ·        Superior computer skills, with solid experience in CAD

    ·        Ability to run simulations and analyze test data

    ·        Ability to write clear and comprehensive technical documentation

    ·        Highly analytical mind, with exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail

    ·        Experience working in the mechanical engineering field

    ·         

    Preferred Skills

    ·        Construction knowledge a plus

    ·        Licensed as a professional engineer

    ·        Master's degree in mechanical engineering
