  • Responsibilities

    The Historic Granville Inn is currently seeking an experienced Bartender to join our restaurant and banquet teams. The Bartender will be responsible for preparing beverages for guests in a prompt and courteous fashion while maintaining a high level of quality and consistency to ensure guest satisfaction. Ideal Candidates will have evening availability on Fridays and Saturdays as well as morning availability on Sundays

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Greets guests pleasantly as they approach the bar; promotes house drinks and utilizes up selling whenever possible to maximize revenues.

    Prepares beverages requested by guests or servers according to standard operating procedures establishing proper portions and ingredients to control costs and provide consistent product to the guests.

    Monitors guest behavior and guest alcohol consumption to determine when alcohol service to the guest should cease.

    Notifies management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption or impaired condition of customers; checks identification whenever the age of a guest requesting an alcoholic beverage service is questionable.

    Sets up portable bar including all liquor, mixers, ice, garnishes, glassware and supplies; inventories unused liquor and beverages.

    Obtains, counts and secures bartender’s bank; receives cash payments from banquet guests; gives accurate change and balances cash drawer at end of shift.

    Other duties as assigned by management.

    Our compensation package includes an $6.00 hourly plus gratuity, dining and travel discounts, special offers from our business partners, and discount programs for selected cell phone providers.

    Required Experience:

    Bartending experience required.

    TIPS Certified preferred.
