    The Granville Inn and Denison Golf Club Located in Granville Ohio Is currently seeking an experienced Director of Sales to join our team as the Dual Property Director of Sales. This individual will be responsible for developing, implementing, and executing the total sales strategy and tactics for the Granville Inn and the Denison Golf Club. This includes recruiting new accounts, retaining existing accounts, and reactivating past accounts. This position will also be responsible for supervising activities of sales associates, executing sales strategies to maximize the profitability of the property while enhancing customer satisfaction, maximizing revenues through continuous revenue management practice and creative, ongoing digital marketing strategy.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Directs the activities of the sales team, providing the inspirational leadership, mentorship and motivation necessary to implement effective sales strategies and to maximize the generation of total business units’ sales/revenues.

    Develops and maintains relationships with key clients to retain and build upon new and existing group business, to include room sales, golf sales, food & beverage sales, and catering/event sales and services.

    Develops and manages the departmental budget.

    Monitors sales activities/performance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed established revenue plans and accurately reports variances/projections to management.

    Develops property-level tactical sales plans to support overall system-wide sales plans/strategies and programs.

    Manages the sales and marketing budget with the General Managers and implements marketing strategies for both the Inn and Golf Club.

    Manages the business unit's website.

    Creates the annual revenue budget for the business units, in conjunction with the General Managers.

    Drives internal demand for the business units by creating and implementing promotions and events.

    Ensures guest satisfaction and business unit profitability by overseeing the coordination of various departmental activities related to booked business.

    Develops and maintains good relationships with officials and representatives of ownership, local and community entities, and businesses.

    Attends out-of-town conferences to generate group and event business.

    Assists the General Managers in developing and updating the property-level business plans, provide input on sales goals and plans that support the overall business and sales strategies of the company.

    In coordination with the General Managers, serves as hotel and Golf Club representative for media related inquiries and refer to sensitive matters to ownership and Columbus Hospitality Management.

    Hires, trains, and provides career development for all sales personnel; conducts performance evaluations and provides feedback to employees.

    Serves as member of Executive Committee/Management Team, Manager on Duty (when required) and works with other management personnel to establish and implement hotel services standards to achieve maximum profitability and efficiency.

    Develops, maintains and distributes weekly sales reports each Friday.

    Responsible for attaining annual sales goals as outlined by General Managers and Asset Manager.

    Required Experience

    Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Management, Sales and Marketing, or related field of study, or commensurate work experience.

    Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a full-service hotel environment in hospitality sales and marketing, catering and revenue management.

    Working knowledge of federal, state and local laws governing equal employment opportunity and civil rights, occupational safety and health, wage and hour issues, and labor relations.
