    Sales Representative Asheville Area

    We are Grapevine Distributors, family-owned and operated, and have been servicing the Carolinas for over 30 years. We represent some of the most renowned and respected names in the wine world, including Joseph Drouhin, Bollinger, Haut-Brion, Vega Sicilia, Merry Edwards, Ken Wright, and many more. We also represent an outstanding artisan Spirits portfolio and a fast-growing collection of the latest Hemp products in the market, continuing our pursuit as an industry-leading organization.


    OVERALL OBJECTIVE:

    We are seeking an Asheville Area Sales Representative who can sell ALL Grapevine products, and provide our customers with exemplary service by creating and cultivating strong account relationships. Must be dependable, dedicated, and take full initiative of the sales territory. This is a unique opportunity to generate excellent income through all three of Grapevine’s product revenue streams.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Present and sell to the highest standards all Grapevine Wines, Spirits and Hemp products within the assigned territory.
    • Meet established weekly, monthly, and yearly goals.
    • Cold-call existing and new restaurants, wine shops, grocery outlets, and hemp accounts within the territory to develop new business.
    • Monitor growth and opportunities within the territory with the use of weekly and monthly reporting tools.
    • Communicate in a swift manner with account customers, management, and office personnel.
    • As assigned, conduct supplier ride-withs, in-store tasting events, wine dinners, and staff training for all accounts.
    • Work with the accounting department to resolve payment issues within the territory.
    • Work with the warehouse to coordinate product delivery, including assisting with deliveries during holidays, short weeks, and staffing shortages.
    • Attend team and company meetings.



    SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

    • Prefer at least two years of sales experience in the fine wine market.
    • Knowledge of the wine-growing regions and grapes of France, Spain, and Italy
    • Spirits knowledge and sales experience preferred.
    • Be at least 21 years old with a valid NC driver’s license and insurance
    • Proven customer service skills
    • Excellent writing skills
    • Driven to exceed all sales goals
    • Able to work with little supervision

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    • Physical demands to include driving, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, standing, and squatting

    • May require lifting, lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 45lbs

    • Base plus monthly bonus package
