    CORE FOCUS

    Principal Duties:

    Source or create visual elements needed to achieve assigned marketing tasks.

    Conceive marketing solutions by surveying existing materials and applying brand and graphic standards to assigned tasks.

    Propose concept solutions by designing rough layout of art and copy.

    Obtain approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval.

    Prepare approved layouts for production, applying best practices.

    Contribute to team effort by providing polished and consistent visual communications and marketing across departments.

    Respond to requests for promotional materials from multiple departments.

    Design promotional items for retail, prepare mock-ups for approval routing.

    Monitor paper and supplies, place requests for orders in a timely fashion.

    Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment.

    Maintain technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies.

    Physical, Mental, and Visual Skills:

    Good understanding of marketing principles, market research techniques, and databases.

    Good organizational and communication skills.

    Ability to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions independently and be self-motivated.

    Superior attention to detail.

    Ability to perform light physical work; may be required to lift up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, up to ten pounds frequently and up to five pounds constantly, performing such activities as bending stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting and grasping for up to five hours without sitting.

    REQUIRED WORK HABITS:

    Work habits include regular attendance, teamwork, initiative, dependability and promptness.

    Ability to work flexible schedule to include some weekend days.

    Educational, Development and Work-Related Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communications, or Graphic Design.

    Strong graphic designer with a solid understanding of graphic standards and production expertise.

    Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines.

    Experience with internal and external cross-functional work, developing systems that support excellence and improve communications.

    Excellent knowledge of Microsoft and Adobe software, marketing computer software and online applications.

    Proven abilities to effectively operate Adobe Creative Suites: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Premier and Microsoft programing: Word, Power Point, and Excel.

    Expert user of Adobe Creative Suite.

    General knowledge of photography and video design and production is desirable.

    Familiarity with an Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) is a plus.
