    THE OPPORTUNITY

    Alamo Iron Works is currently seeking an Inside Sales Representative at our San Antonio, TX facility. The role of the Inside Sales Representative is to identify new customer sales opportunities and manage existing business.

     

    ABOUT ALAMO IRON WORKS

    Alamo Iron works is one of Vallen’s Specialty businesses with locations in San Antonio, Brownsville, and Pharr, Texas. Alamo serves the South Texas industrial market with MRO Supplies and is a Structural Steel Service Center supplying structural steel, fabricated steel products and value add services; such as, cutting, breaking, sawing , burning, rolling, and welding.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Act as the internal account coordinator for assigned accounts
    • Develop new accounts and implement plans for growth in existing accounts
    • Consultative selling and closing skills
    • Provide quotes and follow up, order entry into the order fulfillment system to initiate the sales/ distribution process
    • Continually provide feedback on sales opportunities to district management and Outside Sales
    • Ensure delivery of customer orders on a timely basis, and with the highest possible level of quality and service
    • Coordinate with appropriate departments in the resolution of customer complaints regarding damaged or incorrect material, or delivery problems
    • Provide customers with a personalized level of customer service that reinforces the importance of customer satisfaction
    • Assist other Inside Sales Representatives in the development and maintenance of their assigned accounts when necessary.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • 2+ years of previous sales experience. Steel Industry preferred
    • Must possess strong oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills
    • Aggressive, competitive, and self-motivated attitude
    • Detail oriented
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

    1. The candidate has completed a formal radiography or equivalent training program as specified by The American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).
    2. Willingness to obtain advanced certification in Bone Density within first year of employment. 
    3. Flexibility to work in other radiology modalities such as Bone Density and X-Ray and overtime as needed as well as on-call duty when applicable.
    4. Displays a good understanding of age-related developmental issues of pediatrics and geriatrics.
    5. Certification by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists and licensed by the State of Connecticut Department of Health.

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED

    1. Knowledge of radiographic examinations as well as procedures that require contract agents
    2. Knowledge of radiographic equipment operations and radiation safety
    3. Knowledge of patient transfer and positioning techniques
    4. Open, accurate, and responsive communication, oral or written, on an individual basis or in groups
    5. Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects and meet deadlines
    6. Demonstration of ethical and professional conduct
