    The Vice President of Preconstruction Management leads, mentors, and directs Associate Preconstruction Managers, Preconstruction Managers, Senior Preconstruction Managers, and Project Management to coordinate preconstruction management resources for the delivery of a successful project. This Vice President of Preconstruction Management is responsible for ensuring consistent and effective delivery of Faith’s preconstruction services resulting in superior gross margin production. This position is responsible for identifying and closing profitable project opportunities as well as capitalizing on new business opportunities.

     


     

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or other similar field
    • EXPERIENCE: 8 to 10 years of progressive management experience

    or

    • EDUCATION: Electrical Journeyman’s and/or Master’s License
    • EXPERIENCE: 10 years of progressive field experience

     

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Serves as a main point of contact for preconstruction management services.
    • Works with Preconstruction Managers and Project Managers to develop best-in-class preconstruction management services to internal and external clients.
    • Is responsible for developing Faith's preconstruction management team into a best-in-class provider through leadership and mentoring of preconstruction managers.
    • Directs multi-disciplined groups (CAD, Design, Estimating, Engineering, Virtual Construction, and Detailing) to implement standard operating procedures and evaluate new technologies.
    • Coordinates and appropriates workload across regions based on strategic positioning and resource allocation.
    • Measures and monitors preconstruction management service offerings (i.e, metrics).
    • Prepares and administers budgets for preconstruction management services.
    • Actively participates in professional and trade-related organizations.
    • Ensures preconstruction teams are delivering value added measures to design build/ design assist projects.
    • Develops, implements, and ensures project controls practices are being consistently utilized throughout the organization.
    • Demonstrates the ability to make strategic business decisions regarding preconstruction management that optimize the overall organization versus just preconstruction management.
    • Demonstrates the insight and ability to implement preconstruction management initiatives or improvements in coordination and integration with other functions.
    • Effectively communicates to employees within preconstruction management how the function impacts the strategy and performance of the organization and continually communicates the big picture within preconstruction management.
    • Stays abreast and informed regarding relevant technical, operational, and professional developments related to preconstruction and capitalizes on such developments to impact overall competitive advantage.
    • Fosters a productive and enthusiastic team of direct reports through coaching and development, goal setting, and ongoing talent and performance assessment. Delegates appropriately and follows up effectively.
    • Focuses on developing long-term relationships with clients as a means to foster new and repeated business opportunities.
    • Furthers client relations and confidence in Faith Technologies capabilities.
    • Develops client proposals that effectively demonstrate Faith Technologies value to the client and end users.
    • Leads development of strategies and tactics to develop and capitalize on new business opportunities.
    • Works in conjunction with EVPs, GMs, and/or Project Managers on project pursuits in which technical skills are necessary.
    • Develops, implements, and manages the revenue generation process.
    • Manages cost and revenue of the services created and/or sold for the organization (internally and externally).
    • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

  • Qualifications

     

    EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • Certified Electrical Technician, Journeyman Electrician, and/or equivalent work experience.

     

     

      

    SPECIFIC SKILLS:

    • Must be able to read and interpret information sheets.
    • Experience with Allen Bradley, MeasureX (MXOpen), and DeltaV systems is desired.
    • Making decisions under the pressure of continuing production
    • Must be able to work around and climb over the machine while it is in operation.
    • Must be able to operate power tools and equipment.
    • Demonstrate and provide working knowledge of PLC's , drives, instrumentation, controls, NFPA 70E regulations
