Job Description

MAXISIQ is seeking a part-time Graphics Specialist to support mission-focused projects in Lorton, VA. You will create high-impact visual products and leverage AI design tools to support proposals, white papers, briefings, reports, and digital content for government customers.

Responsibilities

• Design graphics for presentations, reports, infographics, social and digital media in support of government programs.
• Use AI-assisted tools to generate and refine concepts, imagery, and layouts.
• Translate technical content into clear, visually engaging products for non-technical audiences.
• Ensure all products comply with branding, classification, and security guidelines.
• Support basic multimedia needs (simple animations, image assets for video, web graphics).
• Organize and maintain project files, versions, and asset libraries.
• Work with project managers, analysts, and communications staff to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

• Active Secret clearance, currently adjudicated and in good standing.

• 1–5 years of professional experience in graphic/visual design.

• Hands-on experience using AI-driven creative tools in a production environment.

• Strong skills in layout, color, composition, and typography.

• Ability to follow brand standards and government style guidance.

• Solid written and verbal communication skills and ability to take direction/feedback.

• Desired Qualifications

• Experience supporting DoD or Federal Government clients or working in a cleared environment.

• Familiarity with accessibility best practices for visual products.

• Experience with motion graphics or basic video editing.

• Portfolio demonstrating a mix of traditional and AI-assisted work (link or PDF).

• Work Environment & Location

• On-site in Lorton, VA; part-time, standard business hours with occasional surge support.

• Collaborative team environment with direct interaction with program and corporate stakeholders.
