    Job Description

    We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic Account Manager to join our passionate team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of existing customers of our wholesale buying group, nurturing, cultivating, and mediating these current client relationships, and growing the company by connecting with new customers and adding new members to the group. In this role you will be providing excellent customer service, information about our products, answer technical questions about the application of our gear, and processing large sales orders.

    The Account Manager is the professional expert for our company. You will be responsible for the long-term process and intentional effort of gaining trust and establishing rapport. Accountabilities will include the administration and data entry of large and regular sales orders, learning and following all internal organization processes, monitoring inventory levels, extensive knowledge of product and pricing, memorizing the idiosyncrasies of each client, understanding industry trends and standards, set and achieve targets and assist in the resolution of customer problems or concerns.

     

    This role is full-time based at our new head office, showroom, and warehouse located in West Valley City, UT, and encompasses the following responsibilities:

       - Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships through exceptional customer service,

       - Respond promptly, accurately, and completely to customer inquiries,

       - Keep records of customer interactions, transactions, and comments,

       - Provides pricing and delivery estimates for product orders,

       - Learn systems and software to enter or modify client sales orders,

       - Extensive product knowledge and understanding of product categories and brands,

       - Assist with payments and sales,

       - Offer solutions to resolve any issues,

       - Generate new business opportunities through Outreach marketing,

       - Qualify and validate new member applications for acceptance into the buying group,

       - Setting and achieving monthly and yearly targets,

       - Complete all tasks thoroughly and follow up where necessary,

       - Work in adherence to company guidelines and processes,

       - Other duties and tasks as needed.

       - THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION.

     

    The role will report to the General Manager and the ideal candidate will excel at the following competencies:

       - Proficient in using computer software and systems as tools for the sales process,

    This role will be business hours Monday to Friday with some weekend overtime possibilities. Internal training will be provided and the following qualifications and experience pre-requisites are as follows:

       - Bachelor’s degree required,

       - Minimum 2 years of demonstrated outside sales experience,

       - Strong background in service-intensive sales,

       - Demonstrable track record of sales growth,

       - Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills,

       - Experience in payment processing,

       - Experience in warehousing and shipping,

       - Exceptional ability to organize and multi-task,

       - Must be a self-starter and thrive in an ever-changing, constantly organic work environment,

       - Must have a stable work history,

       - High level of computer and software proficiency including, MS Office programs, Mac & CRM,

       - Must speak English,

       - Legal to work in the United States,

       - Interests in camping and outdoors will be a great advantage.

     

    This position is available for an immediate start. Grasshopper Trading Co offers its employee-owners a competitive compensation and potential commission incentives for this role as well as a benefits package. We have an initial 3 month probationary period at a payment rate of $16 p/hr with a review of remuneration after that time. Most importantly, we have a relaxed, friendly atmosphere where employees can thrive and perform.
