The Budget Lodge of Phoenix is looking for a Security Officer to patrol the property on foot for 8 hour shifts. Must be able to deal with varied situations in a public safety capacity. Must be able to respond to calls for service via radio and handle emergency situations. Security gear is required, unarmed.
Patrol motel property, parking areas, walkways, stairwells, and common areas throughout the overnight shift.
Maintain a visible security presence to deter trespassing, theft, vandalism, disturbances, and other unauthorized activity.
Monitor the property for suspicious persons, vehicles, or activity and respond appropriately.
Enforce motel rules, including quiet hours, parking restrictions, and access to guest-only areas.
Address noise complaints, loitering, unauthorized visitors, and other disturbances in a professional manner.
Assist motel staff with situations involving disruptive or uncooperative guests while maintaining a calm, de-escalation-focused approach.
Monitor security cameras and other surveillance systems, if applicable.
Check doors, gates, storage areas, vacant rooms, and other designated areas to ensure they are properly secured.
Conduct scheduled property rounds and document patrol activity.
Contact law enforcement, fire, or emergency medical services when circumstances require professional emergency response.
Observe and report safety hazards, property damage, maintenance concerns, or unusual conditions.
Complete detailed incident reports and maintain an accurate overnight security log.
Assist guests with basic safety or security concerns as needed.
Respond promptly to calls or requests for security assistance from motel staff.
Maintain communication with motel management regarding significant incidents or concerns.
Follow established emergency, fire, evacuation, and incident-response procedures.
This is an unarmed security position; no weapons are carried or used while on duty.
Perform other security-related duties as assigned.
