  • Responsibilities

    The IT Help Desk Support Engineer is responsible for providing quick and effective front line support to client users across a variety of tools and technologies. Support is typically related to workstation hardware and software support on Windows machines, O365 products and various line of business applications. Some printing and phone support, as well as occasional onsite troubleshooting or installation will come up. The job is located in the Knoxville, TN office.

    Requirements

    • Keen mind for troubleshooting and supporting day-to-day functions of computer hardware, Microsoft software, and printers. Experience with larger projects, a wide variety of environments or networking is a bonus.
    • Strong empathy for end users and the ability to make them feel good while addressing the issues presented.
    • Good research skills a must, as well as knowing when to seek guidance.
    • Strong verbal communication abilities with an emphasis on being comfortable on the phone assisting users.
    • Strong written communication abilities with an emphasis on creating clear internal notes and documentation.
    • Education or technical training in one of the many areas of computer science
    • Strong time management and process management abilities
    • Driven by integrity in your work product and professionalism in communication
