FIELD MECHANIC: Seeking a qualified, versatile, safety minded candidate to work as a Field Mechanic based in Logan. The right candidate will drive from one destination to another as needed to repair and maintain machinery and equipment under the direction of their supervisor.
Required Skills
Requirements:
- Must be able to trouble shoot and maintain all types of heavy equipment including but not limited to: dump trucks, pickups, reclaim and milling machines, loaders, graders, dozers, pavers and rollers
- Must be able to work well with others and work effectively in a high pressure, multi-tasking environment
- Strong working knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Extended hours with the possibility of night and/or weekend work as well as overnights
- It is essential for all applicants to have a valid driver's license and medical card (CDL license would be a plus)
- Basic computer skills are a must
- Must have a CDL
Required Experience
- Must be experienced with Cat ET and have a vast knowledge of Caterpillar equipment.
- Other (preferred but not required): Basic welding skills, associate degree from a technical institute
