    Civil Engineer Residential Land Development and Home Building Gray Wolf Homes have been doubling year over year for almost 4 years. We continue to grow and meet our demand. Reporting directly to the VP of Land Acquisition, the Site Civil Engineer will be responsible for helping with zoning entitlements, civil site plan approvals, and construction administration support. This individual is the first person in a new department function, and it is a highly-visible and involved position. They will interact with many different people in and out of the organization. Ability to communicate with all stakeholders and staff. Gray Wolf Homes has a strong culture. Responsibilities: This person will be the first in the engineering group and will have to create, update and maintain what's needed. • Create and maintain engineering data base • Maintain a firm understanding of project phases to close out • Research state and local agencies and guidelines for land development • Assist and review agency coordination for site permitting • Perform preliminary engineering due diligence • Develop conceptual plans • Civil 3D design experience preparing and completing plan sets for residential developments • Experience preparing civil engineering site plans, including site layout, grading, drainage, and wet utilities (water, sewer, storm drain), erosion control, and stormwater management per local authorizing agency • Write reports as necessary • Prepare project log for historical reference Qualifications: • Licensed PE in the state of North Carolina or the ability to obtain reciprocation • 5-10 years of experience in civil engineering for land development • 3+ years of design experience for residential land development • Autocad – Civil 3D proficiency • Working ability with Microsoft Office Suite • Experience with Trello software a plus • Ability to write effective reports • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members • Team player Compensation: $80,000 - $110,000 plus bonus
