Title: HR Generalist/Admin
Hours: Mon-Fri 9:00 am - 5:30 pm
Location: LaGuardia Airport, East Elmhurst, NY.
This position will report to the Director of HR. This role requires an individual who is highly organized and self-motivated. A flexible approach to work is necessary along with the ability to work on own initiative.
Responsibilities will include:
- Create reports for the executive team on HR department initiatives
- Employee engagement event management.
- Full clerical and administrative support to the HR Director.
- Manage the recruitment process by posting opportunities, scheduling and conducting interviews, performing reference checks, creating offer letters, scheduling background checks and drug screens.
- Oversee the completion of new hire documentation.
- Coordinate the onboarding process and first-day orientation of new hires.
- Maintain digital and paper employee records.
- Provide back-up to the Payroll and Benefit Manager
Requirements:
- 2 plus years of HR experience
- Excellent communication, grammar, and spelling skills with the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing to all levels of staff and management.
- Advanced use of Microsoft Suites
- Team player and ability to work on own initiative
- Positive and helpful attitude, with strong customer service skills.
