    Job Description

    What is PROCESS SERVING?

    As a process server, your job will be to drive around your local area and personally deliver (serve) legal paperwork to specific individuals. Each process server will be designated an area or territory (county lines, zip codes, etc), for which work gets delegated to based on the assignment. You will get paid $24 for the cases you serve instead of a traditional hourly rate. When making use of our integrated app, training program, and software, we make the logistics around process serving seamless to pick up as a part-time job.

    We are currently looking to fill FULL AND PART-TIME process serving positions in the following areas:

    • Kalamazoo County
    • Battle Creek
    • Berrien County
    • Cass County
    • Livingston County
    • Washtenaw County
    • Wayne County

    All Process Servers are hired as independent sub-contractors. You will be responsible for your tools and needs to do your job properly, however, we do supply paper and printer ink. You will be able to write many of these things on your taxes like mileage, phone bills, internet, home office, and the sort. You will receive a 1099 at the end of the year for your earnings.

    EMPLOYEE REQUIREMENTS:

    • Complete and pass the Online Training
    • Work mornings, days, nights, and some weekends (very flexible)
    • Pass a background check
    • Have access to the internet
    • MUST HAVE RELIABLE ACCESS TO A COMPUTER, PRINTER, AND SCANNER. WE DO NOT REIMBURSE FOR PAGES PRINTED FROM 3RD PARTY SOURCES (OFFICE DEPOT, FEDEX, ETC).
    • A smartphone
    • Reliable transportation

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Serve legal documents at multiple addresses
    • Print your own cases
    • Check email regularly
    • Receive and make phone calls
    • Organizing and creating daily driving routes
    • Use our integrated app to document attempts and service of cases
    • Communicate efficiently with office staff

    HIRING & TRAINING PROCESS

    1. Pass questionnaire and apply

    2. Expect a short 5-10 minute phone call from the hiring agent to answer any general questions regarding the role. Then the training program will be sent to the recipient.

    3. Once the program has been sent, applicants must go through the 2-hour long online training. This will walk through from start to finish how to be an effective process server. Expect videos, small quizzes, and a final exam. The exams have a 100% success rate so it is an easy learning path.

    4. Following training completion, Process Server-in-training will complete and send service agreement paperwork back to the hiring agent.

    5. Expect a phone call from a hiring agent to discuss any questions, concerns, and case delegation. From here you are free to begin working.

    PAYMENT

    • $24 per case served (long-term opportunities for advancement)
    • $100 free after the first 10 cases have been served
    • Pay periods: bi-weekly on Fridays

    RECOMMENDED SKILLS:

    • Previously worked as a process server (not required, but great asset!)
    • Organization
    • SELF-STARTER
    • Logistically inclined
    • Adapt to new/different situations and surroundings
    • Time management
    • Work within deadlines
    • Delivery (of any kind; pizza, package, mail, etc.)

    INTERVIEW PROCESS:

    • Remote (zoom or phone call)

    TRAINING PROCESS:

    • Training is online
