Job Description
Join our education team as an Outdoor Educator at Highfirld Discovery Garden. Great Parks is seeking a qualified professional to create and lead outdoor programming for kids of all ages.
This position will support programming efforts at Glenwood Gardens Highfield Discovery Garden, Farbach -Werner, and Winton Woods. A successful Outdoor Educator II provides strong communication skills, quick thinking on their feet and engages children and adults alike through hands on activities and engaging programming. This year-round position will average 30 hours per week and will require weekend shifts. The ideal candidate will have experience and comfort delivering cultural and natural history programs.

QUALIFICATIONS
An appropriate combination of education, training, course work and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities. An example of an acceptable qualification is:
Associate’s Degree in Natural History or related field required with 1-year related experience which evidences a comprehensive knowledge of natural history interpretation.
Ability to document identity and employment eligibility within three (3) days of original appointment as a condition of employment in compliance with Immigration Reform and Control Act requirements.
LICENSE & CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
State Motor Vehicle Operator’s License meeting GPHC current carrier guidelines.
