Job Position Description: Responsible for providing teacher-child interaction observations, providing research-based coaching, guided reflection, training and technical assistance to Head Start and Early Head Start classroom teachers and teacher assistants on best practices related to early learning and supporting the development of infants, toddlers and preschoolers.

Salary Range: $ 52,200 per year

Responsibilities:

· Acts as a resource and content area expert for staff and parents in child development and education, including conducting training to address training and professional development needs and requirements

· Assist in maintaining compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework, GETCAP Program Goals, state standards of care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

· Conducting professional development trainings

· Provide support to mentoring and coaching staff to Early Head Start and Head Start staff to increase the quality of teacher-child interactions.

Qualifications and Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field

· At least one year experience in an early childhood program

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills; and a high level of interpersonal skills.

Positive, motivating and energetic personality

Professionalism and can be flexible in a changing environment

· Strong computer literacy, database, spreadsheet and word processing, Internet and e-mail.

· Knowledge and experience in data collection and information processes and systems

· Knowledge ECE Instructional Methods, including age-appropriate curriculum principles and child development
