We are seeking a self-motivated, ambitious and energetic Business and Marketing Representative to support our organization’s overall membership and revenue growth objectives. This valuable member of the team will work closely with and report to the Business Relations Manager. They will be primarily responsible for advancing investor activities, marketing and sponsorship benefits, and growing membership for the Chamber.

    Part Time Business and Marketing Representative

    (Approx.28 – 30 hours per week)

    We are currently seeking a self-motivated, ambitious and energetic Business and Marketing Representative to support our organization’s overall membership and revenue growth objectives. This valuable member of the team will work closely with a small and capable team. This position will be primarily responsible for advancing investor activities, marketing and sponsorship benefits, and growing membership for the Chamber.Compensation: DOE ($19 - $23 per hour plus commission). Wage plus commission structure from 3 – 20%. Thirty-hour per week employee (4 days) receive paid holidays, and vacation. Paid sick days. Potential to develop into a full time.

    Essential Duties and Accountabilities:

    Responsible for successfully recruiting businesses into the organization.

    Responsible for selling sponsorship opportunities to our membership that align with their business needs.

    Schedules and attends appointments away from the office on a day-to-day basis that provide a venue to showcase our leadership organization

    Actively prospects and introduces our organization to businesses and bringing them into the Chamber based on our ability to champion their needs.

    Increases the rate of investment by aligning tiers and sponsorships based on businesses’ needs and positioning in the community

    Strategically plans sales activities for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.

    Generates sales leads by researching and contacting businesses of all sizes and industries.

    Develops and maintain sales and promotional materials

    Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.

    Utilizes CRM system to keep accurate and timely records of prospects and members.

    Ensures customer service satisfaction and good client relationships

    Remains informed of member benefits, Chamber events, etc

    Attends and helps at all events which may include set up, taking photos, registration, check in and set up.

    Follows on Social Media/Subscribes/Reads communications from business members, business associations, area chambers, business news and community associations

    Represents the Chamber at corporate and community events.

    Performs other duties as assigned.

    To apply the applicant must be qualified with the following:

    Three-plus years proven sales background.

    Previous use of sales and marketing management tools. Such as Salesforce, Pardot, Marketo, ChamberMaster etc.

    Excellent interpersonal, professional and written communication skills

    Must be self-confident with excellent prospecting skills

    Ability to achieve results and maintain relations with member businesses

    Works well with a team adept at multi-tasking

    Computer literate; proficient in MS Outlook, Word and Excel

    Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent on the job experience

    Must work well under pressure and be goal oriented

    Must have valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation

    Must be able to lift approximately 25lbs.
