About the role:
As an Accountant, you will be crucial to the financial operations of our organization. Working with a diverse team, you will be responsible for recording financial transactions, preparing client invoices and conducting account reconciliation, and analyzing financial statements.
What you will be doing:
Use financial data to record transactions in the general ledger.
Manage month-end closing process.
Ensure timely completion of all closing tasks. Review and validate journal entries, seeking to identify any potential issues and reporting them.
Work with management to analyze trends and identify anomalies. This includes analyzing profit and loss trends and balance sheet variances.
Perform accurate and detailed account reconciliations, providing clear explanations of balances.
Assist in ensuring compliance with audits, reporting any errors to management and learning from audit findings.
Take an active role in department initiatives, always looking for ways to improve efficiency while maintaining controls and reliable financial reporting.
_ What you will need:_
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
1-3 years of prior accounting experience required
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)
Prior experience in public accounting preferred
CPA certification is a plus
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong critical thinking, data analysis, and documentation skills
Effective time management and organizational skills
Ability to resolve issues and conduct root cause analysis
