    The Greater Texoma Association of REALTORS is a membership organization located in Sherman, Texas. The association provides members with the tools to achieve success, promote and enforce the REALTOR Code of Ethics and the value of REALTOR services to homeowners, as well as champion private property rights within the community. The primary focus of this internship program is to integrate participants into the business or association management field with practical job experience while helping our association. At the end, interns will have gained hands-on experiences with membership services and business operations. Intern will be a reliable and task-oriented Executive Assistant and Public Relations individual. They will work directly with association executive and will be responsible for performing several administrative duties. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, professional, and capable of managing their work load and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

    Coordinate communications, including taking calls, responding to emails, and interfacing with members Draft social media & email promotions and communications Prepare meeting packets and minutes for committee meetings Provide members with outstanding customer service supports Process members payments in QuickBooks Arrange events to take place outside of the work place, such as golf tournaments, fund-raising events, and appreciation events Maintain an organized filing system of paper and electronic documents Uphold a strict level of confidentiality Develop and sustain a level of professionalism among staff and members Advanced video production capabilities and graphic design skills are also highly preferred

    Qualifications:

    Familiarity with Microsoft Office Proficiency in collaboration and delegation of duties Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities Ability to build a strong marketing/ PR program Exceptional interpersonal skills Other Duties as assigned Friendly and professional demeanor Work environment: GTAR is governed by a Board of Directors and offers a collaborative and supportive environment. Interns will work closely with Association Executive and small staff, giving and accepting feedback and guidance as everyone works to serve GTAR's members. Hours: GTAR prefers each intern work 15-20 hours per week over an extended period (usually 3-6 months). Schedule has some flexibility but hours worked must be between 9 -5 Monday - Friday. Extended hours on event days, maybe required and, of course, will be compensated for. Wages: Interns receive an hourly wage and are paid bi-weekly. Permanent part-time position could be discussed.
