Grecian Delight | Kronos Foods Crop is seeking a HR Generalist for our Elk Grove Village location.  Responsibilities include day-to-day HR support to internal customers within the organization focusing on temporary labor administration, on-boarding, recruiting, employee relations, investigations, and training. This role will support engagement, retention efforts, and assist in the implementation of corporate policies and ensure procedures align with company objections. 

WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO BE DOING…

• Manage the daily temporary labor requisitions by understanding operational demands and working with temporary agency partners to fulfil these requirements.
• Ensure effective on-boarding process of new employees and temporary labor.
• Talent Acquisition
• Administration of workers compensation injuries and procedures
• Advise employees and management on the interpretation of company policies, programs, and procedures.
• Assist with the administration of leave of absence, FML, disability claims, and return to work programs.   
• Serve as contact for employees and answer questions regarding benefits and HR policies/procedures.
• Respond to internal and external HR inquiries.
• Assist with the identification of training and implementation of programs.
• Support employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
• Coach and counsel leadership on employee issues.
• Provide administrative support required to administer and execute human resource programs.  
• Propose improvements to policies, programs, and procedures to improve the effectiveness of the human resources administration practices and safety.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment requirements, e.g., Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Title VII, I-9 process, annual poster requirements, etc.

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE…

• Basic understanding of the core HR body of knowledge
• Communication skills both written and verbal
• MS Office Products including Power Point and Excel
• Experience with HRIS.  Experience with Dayforce Ceridian a plus
• Associates or Bachelors’ degree preferred in a related field
• Minimum 2 years Human Resource Generalist experience
• HR Related Certification a plus (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, etc.)
• Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) preferred
