    Summary:

    The maintenance mechanic will assist in the repair, install, adjust, or maintain industrial production machinery. Perform all tasks with safety and quality in mind and in accordance with established procedures and process instructions. Must take necessary action to minimize delay time and maximize production.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Should be familiar with all tools associated with the repair and maintenance of all company equipment. This includes calipers, depth micrometers, dial indicators, and other measurement tools.

    • Perform all tasks associated with mechanical P.M.s without assistance.

    • Ability to repair or replace all pneumatic or hydraulic fittings, hoses, valves, regulators, gauges, filters, etc.

    • Ability to repair or replace all PVC coolant plumbing and components.

    • Ability to operate manual drill presses, lathes and mills to perform simple repair tasks to repair machinery.

    • Knowledge of a welder for light repairs and fabrication.

    • Assist other mechanics in more difficult repairs with supervision to increase job knowledge and understanding.

    • Has the basic hand tools necessary to perform job assignments and agrees to improve their tool selection as their job responsibility increases.

    • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

    Must maintain a good attendance record.

    Work hours: 8+ hours per day, 5-7 days per week

    Work conditions: plant heat, dusty, noisy, hot summers and cold winters

    You should be proficient in:

    • Blueprint Reading
    • Preventive Maintenance
