Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and passionate WordPress and WooCommerce Developer to join our IT team! As an eCommerce WordPress Developer at our company, you will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins.

We are expecting you to have a strong understanding of the latest industry trends and content management systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Designing and implementing new features and functionality for an eCommerce website
• Establishing and guiding the website’s architecture
• Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS
• Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin
• Intensive SEO Knowledge
• Help analyze user needs to implement web site content, graphics, performance, and capacity
• Integrate web sites with other computer applications
• Keep up-to-date on web developments and trends
• Researching, designing, implementing, and managing software programs
• Testing and evaluating new programs
• Identifying areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently developing these modifications
• Additional related duties may be added

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience building WordPress and WooCommerce Sites
• Experience building eCommerce website
• Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
• Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
• Experience designing and developing responsive design websites
• Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
• Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
• Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages
• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools {such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial}
• Strong understanding of PHP back-end development
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Strong attention to detail

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's DEGREE in computer programming, computer science, or a related field.
