As our Chief Service Technician for SLO, you will be running a crew tasked with delivering the products and services that drive the success of our company. You will be responsible for assessing issues related to indoor air quality and recommending appropriate solutions. You will define the scope of work in each case and lead your crew in carrying out the needed work. You will bear ultimate responsibility for personnel safety, quality control and client satisfaction. To qualify, you need to be a self-starter who can work independently but can function as an integral part of our team. You will be challenged on a daily basis to use your knowledge, skills, experience and wits to develop optimal customer service solutions to unique and varied problem sets. You must be an experienced professional with a penchant for excellence. This is a key role with excellent potential for growth and advancement.

    Responsibilities

    Assess and provide technical solutions to problems related to indoor air quality.

    Compile and issue job estimates.

    Perform tasks related to indoor air quality assessments, mold remediation, odor removal, crawlspace encapsulation, and other services designed to improve indoor air quality.

    Supervise junior crew members; assign tasks as needed.

    Promote a “Safety First” mindset; ensure all safety-related protocols and regulations are carried out fully and faithfully.

    Organize daily schedules; provide customer service and support visits and tie workflow to schedules to ensure maximum efficiency.

    Ensure all work meets or exceeds governmental, industry, and company guidelines and standards.

    Effectively use POS/CRM system to coordinate with the team, issue job estimates and invoices, and complete jobs properly.

    Collaborate with team and share information across the organization to build positive relationships with clients and coworkers.

    Communicate with clients to manage expectations and ensure their complete understanding of all aspects of any given job to include scope of work, service protocols, related fees, etc.

    Maintain customer satisfaction by using creativity and ingenuity to investigate problems, identify resolutions, suggest enhanced add on services, and recommend improvements.

    Qualifications & Skills

    Professional certification (IICRC) in water restoration (WRT) and/or mold remediation (AMRT)

    Awareness of health and safety issues particularly as related to indoor air quality

    In-depth knowledge of building sciences and/or related disciplines

    Ability to adapt to work schedules and flexible shifts

    Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in personal protective equipment including full facemask/breathing apparatus

    Willingness to work in confined spaces

    Mission-oriented mindset with exacting attention to detail

    Excellent customer service, communication and self-management skills
