Mold Remediation reporting to the Green Home Solutions Field Operations Manager. The majority of the work will be performing removal of mold contamination and water damage from residential and commercial buildings. This is a hands on field position that will require the applicant to remove building materials and clean the affected areas. This position may require the experienced applicant to assist in additional services associated with some mold remediation projects. Duct cleaning experience is preferred, but we will train good workers. The applicant would be responsible for performing the work as needed.

Job Requirements:

Applicants must be physically able to access and work in areas including tight crawlspaces and small attics. Applicant should be not be claustrophobic. Applicant will typically be working as part of a team or in some cases alone to finish up punch list items. You must be able to work in required PPE like respirators and Tyvek suits.

Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle to get to home office each day.

Move and/or lift 50 lbs. average.

Conscientious work habits to support detailed, fine cleaning including vacuuming, brushing, and damp wiping surfaces and building contents.

Experience in project planning, equipment selection and van loading.

Knowledge of light demolition and the removal of finished building materials.

Ability to perform project cleanup, bagging, and removal of debris to job site collection bin or vehicle for haul off.

Experience operating water collection vacuums or pumps.

Ability to hang or lay plastic for barricades or barriers using mechanical fasteners, tape, and adhesives.

To be capable of squatting, crawling, and ladder work which are often required to access all areas of a home or building.

Experience in the operation of power tools.

Safe handling of chemical storage, and labeling.

Additional skills that are preferred are knowledge of:

Cleaning all components of ducts, diffusers and air handlers and condensers.

Setup and tear-down of all equipment at a job site, including protecting work areas, running hoses, securing ladders etc.

Operation of cleaning equipment such as wet/dry vacuums, high pressure air hoses, and electric drills.

Maintaining and reporting any deficiencies of duct cleaning vehicle and equipment.

Availability: The applicant must be available 8 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday. Work hours will vary at times. Some appointments and projects may occasionally occur on Saturday.

Training: You will be required to learn and follow Green Home Solutions’ remediation protocol. There will also be training in the field performing remediation jobs.
