This role would be responsible for:

• Architecting, developing and maintaining Green Joulez EV charging systems, including an OCPP cloud-based central system implementation (in Go), a Python (Django) web application, and other smaller applications such as an offline billing system (Python)

• Discovering and interpreting technical specifications and requirements as needed for utility compliance and charger interoperability

• Communicating with customers and program partners about technical capabilities of our systems

• Advising company leadership on options for technical direction

The ideal candidate would have a strong sense of software development best practices, 2 or more years of experience, and have familiarity with, or be able to quickly learn:

• Languages

  • Go

  • Python

  • Postgres

  • Bash (minimal)

• Technologies:

  • Django

  • Docker

  • Cloud deployment (Google Cloud, Hetzner or other providers)

  • HTML/CSS

Nice to have, but not required:

• Stripe API

• OCPP1.6j (2.0.1 also encouraged)

• OpenADR2.0

• Mobile app development
