Utility Worker--Paper Mill Production Associate

PAY RATE: $16-17/HR  (Overtime Available)

*$1/HR SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL FOR 2ND SHIFT; $.50/HR SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL FOR 3RD SHIFT

**Shifts Available: **1st, 2nd, and 3rd

Job Description

As a utility worker, you provide critical help in keeping our operation running smoothly by helping to keep raw materials and finished products moving within the Mill. You perform a variety of general labor tasks. Manufacturing, production, industrial, or agricultural experience is preferred but multiple factors will be taken into consideration. You will be trained on other positions within the mill and will be afforded the opportunity to fill in for higher skilled positions once trained and earn more.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Up to two (2) years related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Good interpersonal & communication skills
• Highly organized, detail orientated and self-motivated individual (proactive attitude)
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment, learn quickly and follow established processes.
• Good mathematical skills - Ability to read tape measure, able to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, volume etc. (add and subtract numbers, multiply and divide by 10's and 100's…)
• Ability to define problems, collect data/facts (observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources) and draw reasonable conclusions.
• Ability to be flexible with various situations.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Must be able to work overtime.
• Must have valid transportation.
• Always maintain the machine at expected housekeeping standards.
• Assists other departments and/or areas when requested by management/supervisor.
