Green Whiskers is a premium-quality mobile dog grooming service that does everything from the heart, in the finest way possible. We love our dogs, and we love helping people pamper theirs, too. Our pet services are gentle to the earth and celebrate the unique bond shared by animals and their owners.

THE POSITION

The Groomer is generally responsible for performing all grooming-related duties necessary to ensure that pets are neat, clean, and look their best. More specifically, this person:

• Performs professional, high-quality grooming services from beginning to end.
• Grooms and styles pets according to pet owners’ instructions or standard grooming styles.
• Identifies health issues in pets, such as ear infections, skin conditions, or tooth decay.
• Communicates with pet owners regarding accommodations, special requests, and potential health issues.
• Ensures the safety and comfortability of all pets during the grooming process.
• Recommends additional services and products to customers, aligning with the needs of the pet.

THE CANDIDATE

Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years experience of professional grooming experience with part of that experience working specifically with Doodles, Golden Retrievers, and Terrier breeds. Additionally, this person will have the following attributes, qualities and beliefs:

• Most importantly, the candidate MUST have a love for dogs and the passion to treat all customers and animals with the utmost love and care.
• An engaging personality with excellent communication skills.
• A geeky passion for the newest trends in pet grooming. 
• Happy and productive working both independently, as well as within a team.
• Thrives in a steady, but upbeat-paced working environment.
• Grooming license is not required; however, a Master Groomer Certification is highly preferred.
• Hold a valid driver's license.

As we are a mobile pet grooming service, all grooms are conducted within the confines of a van. As such, our candidate must be able to physically get in and out of the truck and lift up to 50 pounds with or without an accommodation.

COMPENSATION

40%-45% commission depending on experience.
