    We are seeking a DATA ARCHITECT to help standup a new Chief Data Office for our Federal Client. The data architect provides a standard common business vocabulary, expresses strategic data requirements, outlines high level integrated designs and aligns with enterprise strategy and related business architecture.

    The Data architect is expected to set data architecture principles, create models of data that enable the implementation of the intended business architecture, create diagrams showing key data entities, and create an inventory of the data needed to implement the architecture vision.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Define and maintain canonical data elements & definitions, data standards, policies and business rules, constraints using regular expressions, reference datasets.

    • Knowledge of web services using API Protocols and validate data formats such as (JSON, SOAP and XML)

    • Profile various source systems, document inferences and support data quality initiatives

    • Provide system architectural support and knowledge to assess data infrastructure, reporting tools, analytical tools and other supporting systems.

    • Specific knowledge of modern data streaming technologies and practices in data visualization, presentation, and analytical tools should be necessary.

    • Provide support to establish and implement data functional definitions, semantic context, and syntactic standards to promote universal understanding of our Federal Client's data, both internally and externally.

    • Provide support to set data quality benchmarks, develop and report data quality metrics, strengthen data quality practices, monitor data performance against the data quality benchmarks, streamline issue identification, create and review business cases for data quality improvement initiatives, and support execution of data quality improvement initiatives.

    • Develop and assist with implementation of a unified model to assess case complexity automatically, using comparative data sources for information validation, indicators of case features that contribute to complexity, potential automatic case routing, and producing other insights and recommendations to support officers

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a government suitability clearance.

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related science degree

    • 5+ years of information systems experience required, with a preference 5+ years of Data Architecture

    • 5+ years leading business process re-engineering, business process assessment, or business architectural development.

    • Experienced designing and implementing data architectures and data models in a data analytics environment.

    • The solutions architect shall also lead the identification of potential efficiencies and business process modifications to support data goals.

    • Experienced setting up data quality programs or data governance frameworks.

    • Experience working in a Chief Data Office is desired.

    • Proficient in MS Office with advanced skills in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Projects, and Visio.

    • Strong writing skills and experience conveying highly technical material to non-technical audiences.

    • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences and influence cross functionally.

    • Knowledge and experience with Agile, Scrum and DevOps principles and practices.
