Position Overview:
To plan and coordinate a program of well-rounded and diverse activities for individuals who attend the Greene Community Senior Center. The activities may include groups and individuals, and they must meet the needs and interests of each individual in areas of social recreation, education and health promotion.
Essential Functions
1. Program Planning - Provide diverse and creative Center activities which meet DARS standards. Ensure activities/events include health education and disease prevention activities; recreation activities; socialization activities; general education activities for seniors. Participate in development of new projects/programs; responds with independent judgement to overall program aspects on a day-to-day basis.
2. Food Services - Supervise food and safety volunteers and tasks related to the provision of meals and beverages.
3. Community Engagement - In coordination with Center Supervisor, collaborate with other departments, community boards and groups to achieve specific short or long-term goals; network with individuals representing partners or potential partners.; representing JABA at community events.
This is a part time position. Expected hours are 18 hours per week
