    We are currently searching for an Automation Engineer/Technician to accelerate our Advanced Manufacturing strategy in our Houston, Texas facility.

     

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

    • Proliferate install base of Collaborative Robots through duplication of like work cells and programming new parts to run on existing cells. Support retrofits and addition of periphery hardware and software. Support controls systems & recipe management deployment and maintenance.
    • Program and maintain Mobile Robot Fleet Software for optimal automated delivery routes. Support deployment of technology to interface with Mobile Industrial Robot (MIR) such as door opening hardware, call buttons etc.

    • Interface with Process Engineering Team for design considerations to optimize existing processes and assist in the implementation of new systems as directed.
    • Support Automation of manufacturing application initiatives such as Machining, Injection Molding, Compound Mixing, Extrusion Control, Cut to Length and Molding
    • Assist in the programming of digital inspection plans across a variety of visual and dimensional inspection systems.
    • Provide support (design considerations, fabrication, repair etc.) for periphery support devices such as Collaborative Robot End Effectors, Mobile Robot Carts, part-holding fixtures, and as directed.

     

    Required Skills

    • 2+ years of combined work experience/educational background related to electro-mechanical systems including the ability to assemble/troubleshoot and maintain systems as requested
    • Selected candidate must be able to read electrical/mechanical schematics, technical drawings an manuals
    • Working knowledge to diagnose and repair problems within an electrical circuit required
    • Ability to learn machine specific programming interfaces, including Universal Robots, Mobile Industrial Robots, Allen Bradley PLCs, Red Lion HMI required
    • Strong math, computer programming and electronics skills required, coupled with strong interpersonal skills.

     

     

    Qualifications:

    • BS Degree, Engineering discipline 
    • Selected candidates must have HS Diploma/GED
