We are currently searching for a Sourcing Specialist in our Houston, TX location. 

This role is responsible for category strategic sourcing, spend optimization, and development of sourcing solutions to aid growth through new product development activities aligned with critical business objectives.  

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: 

• Develops and consistently executes the vision and strategic direction across the assigned categories in support of achieving business goals and savings objectives
• Develops supply chain solutions for new product development projects, exploratory sample requests, strategic make vs. buy decisions, global external capacity additions, risk mitigation assessments and strategies, and support of business growth objectives.
• Identifies and enables reliable and quality external capacity options to supplement internal capabilities in alignment with growth objectives and long-term supply plans.
• Creates formal supply partnership with strategic and preferred suppliers; enhances existing supplier relations.
• Develops, executes, and manages advantageous supply agreements to secure price, guarantee supply, minimize working capital, protect technology, and minimize risk.
• Creates and optimizes CapEX purchase agreements.
• Identifies inventory optimization strategies for procured parts and services
• Provides leadership to drive continuous improvement activities in spend management processes, outsourcing, and business continuity.
• Contributes to and/or participates in the integrated business planning processes.

Required Skills

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in supply chain, marketing, engineering, or business administration required
• 5+ years in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain related fields
• Demonstrated skills in working effectively across business or functional lines and partnering with the businesses and departments to meet objectives
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills
• Experience conducting business and negotiating
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex pricing proposals and formulate a strategic plan
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
