    Job Description

    Job Title:          Brand Development Specialist- FSOP Department:     Field Marketing Job Reports to: Greenhouse Sr. Field Sales Manager

    Job Summary:

    The Brand Development Specialist (BDS) serves as a dedicated Sales & Marketing resource within an assigned territory. Through the direction of the Sr. Field Sales Manager (FSM), the BDS is accountable for the development of the Topo Chico portfolio in on premise channels. The BDS works closely with the Sr. FSM and the respective bottler sales team to add value to both the Topo Chico portfolio and the Bottler. The BDS will be responsible for growing distribution, driving volume, and establishing effective guest marketing programming. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have credibility in the Alcohol-Beverage industry and develop account relationships to drive velocity through engagement, brand advocacy, and brand education with consumers, trade, and the bottler(s).

    As the face of Greenhouse, the BDS will communicate frequently with the Sr. FSM and regional client stakeholders to ensure alignment of program opportunities and objectives, while ensuring program imperatives are being achieved and excelled.

    Major Responsibilities/Activities:

    Key Account Management (50%):

    • Build trusting relationships with key on-premise customers to collaboratively build their profitability through the implementation of Topo Chico Guest Marketing Programs
    • Serve as the primary contact for brand expertise/training to consumers and trade at on-premise top trending and influential accounts
    • Assist in the development and modification of Guest Marketing Programs
    • Drive brand image and velocity in 25 Lighthouse Accounts: 
      • Develop and modify Lighthouse Account focus respective to specific market area focuses
      • Gain exclusive sparkling water availability
      • Cultivate waitstaff Topo Chico advocacy
      • Implement the appropriate drink strategy
      • Drive food menu & drink menu branded placements
      • Manage corresponding budgets built specifically to support Guest Marketing Programs
    • Secure additional product availability in 50 On-Premise Accounts by opening new outlets and closing distribution voids

    Route to Market Alignment (30%): 

    • Train and support Bottler Sales teams. Establish strong working relationships with the bottler sales teams by cultivating relationships, delivering business back to the bottler in addition to being the go-to person for product & brand information
    • Coordinate with bottler sales teams and SR. FSM to ensure growing distribution of Topo Chico’s portfolio.
    • Update the Lighthouse Accounts on an as-needed basis
    • Monitor Bottler inventories to help ensure timely ordering patterns for all product and point of sale orders.  Notify the SR. FSM of any potential issues
    • With the SR. FSM, secure and conduct alignment meetings with key bottler stakeholders to launch new programming, brand and product training and incentive activities

    Field Marketing Activation (10%):

    • Work with local Field Marketing team to align capabilities against on-going Lighthouse Account support, Guest Marketing Programs
    • Work with Field Marketing Manager (FMM) to identify “non-traditional” events for potential brand support.  Event selection must be in line with Topo Chico’s brand pillars: Music, Art, & Food
    • Provide relevant social media content to Field Marketing; mentions, hashtags, etc..  Content needs to be in line with Topo Chico brand guidelines
    • Coordinate expectations and metrics with FMM to ensure successful execution

    Communication & Reporting (10%):

    • Submit communication as prescribed by program stakeholders; Daily updates via Repsly and Quarterly Review(s)
    • Repsly:
      • Account Calls via Mobile App
      • Track KPI activity in “real-time”
    • Concur
      • Submit expense reports (with hard copy receipts) bi-weekly

    Minimum Requirements:

    • 0 - 2 years of beverage Sales experience; On-Premise, Alcohol-Beverage experience preferred
    • Adept at networking, selling, and interacting with diverse groups of people
    • Excellent communication and presentation/public speaking skills
    • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all members of extended sales and brand teams
    • Has strong Business Acumen, including Microsoft Office, Professional communication, and Presentation development
    • Ability to work with relevant social media channels and understand the brand’s social media strategy
    • Understands how to get things done by leveraging opportunities against multiple resources
    • Willingness to work unconventional hours (late nights and weekends)
    • Must be willing to live in the focus market
    • Must have a valid Driver’s License and be able to drive/travel through the designated market area

    Position Financials (Annual): 

    Base Salary:  $52,000 Auto: Mileage Reimbursed Communication Allowance: $600 Benefits:  Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K
