    WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

    Greenlink Analytics (GLA) seeks an intern who has an interest in the environmental space, a collaborative mindset and is eager to grow their experience in project management related tasks by assisting with daily administrative operations, database management, and community outreach. The intern will also have the role of assisting with data collection and reporting in regards to platform metrics. This person will help to strengthen the user base experience for GEM users while also supporting other tasks surrounding the platform as needed.

    ABOUT GEM

    The Greenlink Equity Map (GEM) (www.equitymap.org) is an online map designed to help users visualize equity-related issues and how burdens are spread across communities. GEM provides critical data resources to build strong city-community partnerships and equitable solutions. GEM launched in late 2020 with support from the Kresge Foundation and was developed by Greenlink Analytics in partnership with Upright Consulting Services.

    GEM users primarily include community and non-profit organizations, government staff, and policymakers. GEM is creating and cultivating a rapidly growing user base; a good user experience will facilitate its continued success. Advances are occurring within the software platform and a user community meets regularly. In order to serve users and accelerate equitable outcomes, the team behind GEM is organizing robust user support processes and a community of practice.

    WHAT DOES THIS POSITION REQUIRE?

    The successful applicant will have the opportunity to:

    • Meet and work with new organizations accessing GEM

    • Interface with and troubleshoot issues for users to access GEM

    • Support GEM community outreach and engagement workstreams

    • Collect, analyze, and report data assessing program impact, including tracking key performance indicators

    • Develop procedures to streamline project and program management in partnership with Project and Strategic Development Managers

    • Assist with content creation and execution in partnership with Communications Manager with upcoming initiatives

    • Assist the GEM data scientist with brainstorming future ideas on how to track GEM customer analytics

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

    • Undergraduate or graduate student

    • Passionate about energy equity and environmental justice

    • A friendly and responsive user-focused demeanor

    • Excellent written and verbal communication

    • Qualitative and quantitative data analysis

    • Strong attention to detail

    • Problem-solving focus

    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

    • Preferred:

    • Able to commit 15-20 hours per week

    • Can commit for Fall and Spring semesters

    • Knowledge of basic statistical techniques

    • Project management
