Responsibilities: Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Work new construction, maintenance, or repair work of energized overhead and underground distribution systems based on receiving and following directions • Maintains and safely operates company vehicles, equipment, and tools in good working order • Able to perform rigorous physical labor outside and in inclement weather • Able to identify different sizes and types of material for pre-assembly • Understand the minimum approach distance These duties and responsibilities are not all-inclusive and may change to meet the priorities and ongoing needs of the company. Qualifications: Qualifications and Requirements: • Advanced ability to read and understand work orders, instructions, and procedures • Understand equipment set up and grounding • Highly proficient in critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-resolution skills • General knowledge of OSHA standards and guidelines for energized and de-energized working conditions • Capable of active listening and communicating effectively (written, verbal, and nonverbal) • Requires self-motivation, and organization • High School Diploma or equivalent • Technical degree, 0-2 years’ field experience, extensive mechanical ability, or combination of education and/or experience • CDL A or the ability to obtain • OSHA Certifications Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb; lift and carry up to 60 lbs, crawl, kneel, push and reach; use hands to fingers, handle, and feel. Work Environment: In performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is performed in outside weather conditions. Compensation: $16 hourly to start
