Job Description

Summary:  Lead continuous improvement activities throughout the organization focused on increasing overall effectiveness to meet customer needs as efficiently and cost effectively as possible.  Coordinate activities between cross functional engineering, quality, maintenance, and operations teams to achieve measurable results.  Develop training strategy and lead continuous improvement training events.

The successful candidate will have:

·       Bachelor degree, preferably in engineering, science or other technical discipline.

·       Lean manufacturing experience (Lean 6 Sigma, Kaizen events, 2 Second Lead).

·       Experience leading cross functional teams.

·       Strong mechanical aptitude paired with a sound business sense.

 Essential Job Responsibilities:

·       Train Team on Lean Principles and daily thought process.

·       Empower/facilitate continuous improvement with team members at the lowest level

·       Evaluate plant performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.

·       Develop improvement strategy based on resources prioritized by Plant Manager.

·       Set measurable metrics, establish baselines, and set goals.

·       Lead/facilitate regular team meetings to identify actions required to realize goals.

Required Skills:

·       Strong Lean Manufacturing experience with cross functional teams.

·       Lean project management skills

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·       Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and MS Project.

Desirable Skills:

·       5 or more years experience working in manufacturing continuous improvement.

·       Mechanical Engineering background and/or manufacturing experience.

·       Solid understanding of business financial fundamentals.

·       AutoCad experience

·       IATF16949 experience
