We provide construction, project, and program management, estimating, scheduling, and value analysis throughout project design, preconstruction, construction, and close-out phases.

    Job Summary

    We are seeking a hardworking, motivated and reliable Construction Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will manage construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they progress on schedule and within budget The ideal candidate has a proven track record of successfull construction management projects in the public sector, public works educational facilities preferred.

    Responsibilities

    Oversee all aspects of the construction project with high quality workmanship

    Coordinate with other construction professionals (architects, inspectors, contractors, and subcontractors) to determine the specifications of the project

    Estimating and budgeting for current and future projects

    Develop and evaluate project schedules

    Manage the bid, award, construction and project closeout process

    Negotiate contracts with external vendors and suppliers

    Evaluate designs to meet client expectations/programming of future projects

    Schedule deliverables and milestones and ensure progress is being made

    Ensure the work is being completed safely, on-time & within budget

    Assist with the approvals process by governing authorities

    Report on progress, provide client updates, coordinate & communicate work with site staff

    Lead owner/architect/contractor meetings

    Review project correspondence/plans/emails; evaluate change orders

    Identify and mitigate any potential issues that may arise and address any concerns

    Qualifications

    Previous experience as a Construction Manager

    Project management certification is preferred

    1-3 years experience managing public school facility construction projects is preferred

    Understanding of construction management methods and processes

    Able to read construction drawings

    Knowledge of construction methods, building products, and building codes

    Strong leadership and crisis resolution skills; motivated to complete tasks and resolve issues

    Familiar with Microsoft Excel and construction management software

    Ability to break large projects into small steps; ability to manage multiple projects of varying size concurrently

    Good time management skills

    Reliability, adaptability, and a positive attitude
