    We are seeking a passionate and technically savvy individual to join our team as the HRIS TECHNICAL SPECIALIST to increase business effectiveness of the North American Rail Division which includes both KBC and New York Air Brake. The HRIS Technical Specialist will increase systems utilization and implement effective Human Resources systems and tools including:  Performance Management, Onboarding, Learning Management, Skills Management, and HRIS Master Data systems.  The position will be within an hours drive to Salisbury, NC, this can be a hybrid role part office and part from home.

    HUMAN RESOURCES TECHNICAL PROGRAM MANAGER, ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

    Increase Rail organizational performance and rapid adoption of changes by providing change management leadership for new system rollouts.

    Manage cycles for existing tools & processes, such as performance management (SDII), learning (LMS) and leadership feedback.

    Support a global multi-year OneHR project implementation of HR Connect, a Success Factors cloud-based data management platform, through all project phases as a Country Transition Coordinator (CTC).  This includes:

    • Attending kick-off meetings, ongoing status calls, and other global, regional, and/or special topic meetings as scheduled
    • Partnering with internal stakeholders and consulting external legal counsel as needed to define US and Canadian site-specific and legal requirements during localization phases
    • Confirming data and decisions in support of the Country Transition Manager (CTM) various milestone signoffs
    • Conducting system tests of transactions and data outputs through all testing phases
    • Partnering with global and/or regional KB teams in the development of training documentation and training end users
    • Employee Central (light), Recruiting, Reporting (basic), and the People Doc add-on for electronic document maintenance go-live in 2021.  Employee Central (full) is planned to go-live in 2022.  Additional module implementations include Performance & Goals, Learning, Succession & Development, Compensation & Variable Pay, and Onboarding in the coming years

    North American Rail Business Country Key User & Canadian Country Key User for Employee Central module.  This may include mass CSV file loads, data enrichment, position approvals, software new release testing, etc.

    Develop, in partnership with the HR management team, skills matrix, employee career ladders and training maps for employees to succeed in moving up in the career ladder.

    Complete EEO1, VETS1, and affirmative action plans with external partner.

    Reconcile actual headcount and outlook forecasting values monthly, in partnership with finance, using the global HR tool (PPRT).

    Assist with transition and harmonization of systems with external vendors (payroll, benefits, etc.)

    Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment and ensure the compliance with company's rules and policies.

    Must be able to comply with quality, product safety, and HSE rules, guidelines and regulations. Be energy conscious, if applicable.

    Must understand and comply with applicable standards. (i.e.: ISO 9001, ISO/TS 22163, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, and CMMI).

    Maintain and safeguard business records.

     

    TRAVEL This role could require an estimated 5-10% travel to US or Canadian Knorr-Bremse locations. 

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

    This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    The duties described will be performed in an office environment, on a computer terminal, with a possible option for remote work.
