SPRING 2022 SUPPLY CHAIN, DEMAND PLANNING CO-OP
SUMMARY
We are looking for an energetic Supply Chain Management, Materials, Operations, Business Analytics, Logistics or Purchasing major to join our team as a DEMAND PLANNING CO-OP in Elyria, Ohio. This position will work within the Supply Chain department to aid in the process of inventory and demand forecasting with a strong emphasis on inventory control. This position will allow for a comprehensive understanding of the Bendix supply chain.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a DEMAND PLANNING CO-OP, you will be responsible for:
- Evaluate product demand versus forecast with the goal of increasing forecast accuracy
- Understand business results and provide company-wide customer demand and forecast information to top management
- Ensure trends, seasonality and promotional impacts are incorporated into the forecasts
- Assist in the operational management of aftermarket sales promotions and customer changes with demand patterns
- Provide assistance with Regional Distribution Center planning
- Cross-functional Supply Chain projects with other business areas as required
- Data Analysis
- Operate within the SAP demand planning and Business Intelligence system
- Assist in SAP – Demand Planning improvements
- Support Sales, Inventory and Operational Planning (SIOP) and forecasting within SAP
REQUIREMENTS
- Currently attending an accredited college or university
- 3.0 Cumulative GPA or higher
- Major in Supply Chain Management, Materials, Operations, Business Analytics, Logistics or Purchasing
- Ability to work full-time 40 hours per week during the work term
- Must be resourceful and not intimidated by large assignments
- Exceptional organization skills
- Ability to establish trust and credibility
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Works well in a team environment
- Ability to prioritize effectively and complete all projects in a timely manner.
