  • Responsibilities

    Reporting to the DOM Director of Research Administration, the Research Business Analyst is responsible for identifying, executing and analyzing data for projects pertinent to the research goals of the Department of Medicine. This individual brings attention to detail and ingenuity to various tasks including financial modeling, financial impact analysis, expense and revenue forecasting, and ad hoc reports.

    Project Management:

    • Responsible for creating written materials and reports that provide ongoing and summative updates on projects
    • Responsible for convening and working collaboratively with key stakeholders to identify and analyze data and to complete projects
    • Provides project management for ongoing and new data analysis initiatives, coordinating logistics such as project timelines, agenda development, production and distribution of meeting minutes and documents, and project status reports and activities to various audiences
    • Maintains strong and productive relationships with key stakeholders and customers
    • Provides superior customer service always; Understands and manages customer expectations
    • Undertakes special projects as assigned by the VC, Research and Director of Research Administration

    Analytics and Data:

    • Develops and executes the analytic strategy for assigned projects, utilizing techniques to evaluate performance, predict future outcomes, and provide insight to areas of potential improvement

    Monthly Reporting:

    • Participates in the production and the communication of executive-level briefings, summaries, and presentations
    • Communicates complex analyses and statistical concepts to non-technical audiences; provides coaching and training on use and interpretation of data

    Administrative Support:

    • Provides direct administrative support to the Vice Chair of Research and Director of Research Administration
    • Includes development and implementation of project charters, project schedule and communications plans
    • Responsible for the managing and updating the Department of Medicine Research website

    Required Skills

    • Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s degree preferred.
    • 5-8 years’ experience required
