    Join our team in this position and you will be eligible for a $1,000 bonus, paid out in increments of $250, over the course of your first year of employment (3 months/6 months/9 months/12 months)

    Fitness Center Coordinator, Marlborough, MA

    Part-time (20 hours/wk)

    Schedule: Flexible Monday-Thursday hours to mirror higher usage of the Fitness Center approx. 9am-1pm or 11am-3pm

    Your impact on our members:

    In this position, you will have the opportunity to put your creative talents to use in an impactful way. You will provide a wide range of services including the coordination, implementing, and delivery of health and fitness programs and services, promotions, and outreach activities at our onsite corporate fitness center.

    You will instruct group exercise classes; provide personal training (if certified); conduct fitness assessments, exercise prescriptions, and orientations; and provide fitness floor coverage and facility oversight. You will also assist in the creation, posting, presenting, and implementation of virtual offerings and content. You will provide outstanding service to members & program participants to maximize participation, outcomes, and customer satisfaction.

    Site info: Fitness center as Group ex floor, cardio deck and weight room. Site also has an outdoor volleyball court, ping pong tables and walking trail outside.

    What you bring with you:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Health Promotion, Kinesiology or related discipline and 1+ years related experience OR equivalent combination of education, current certifications and experience.
    • Current Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute.
    • Experience instructing group exercise classes (in one or more of the following: spin, kickboxing, Zumba, yoga, Pilates) required.
    • Industry recognized Group Exercise certification from ACE, AFAA/NASM, ACSM, NETA, NCCPT required.
    • Personal Training certification from an industry recognized and HealthFitness approved provider a plus.
    • Proficiency in fitness assessment and exercise prescription.
    • Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills including the ability to motivate others.
    • Competency in the delivery of HealthFitness and site-specific programs and services.
    • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including at minimum Word, Excel and Outlook.
    • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands including project coordination.
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with enthusiasm, initiative and creativity.

    B.S./B.A. required, Master's Degree preferred, strong attention to detail and organizational skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, experience managing systems, and four to six years of experience in admissions or a similar field. Position requires occasional evening and weekend work.
