The Graduate Academic Advisor is responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of prospective students for Metropolitan Colleges Graduate degree and certificate programs.
Conduct outreach through various communication tools (phone, email, text) with potential students that have inquired or applied for METs graduate or certificate programs. Following a consultative service approach, learn the educational needs and career goals of prospective students to effectively provide information, answer questions, assist with the application process and ultimately facilitate matriculation for successful applicants.
Participate in recruitment strategy implementation and planning; working closely with the ExecutiveDirector of Graduate Admissions and Enrollment Services, academic program directors, and marketing staff.
Work in a team approach to execute a strategic recruitment plan to achieve graduate enrollment goals through coordinated, planned, and timely practices.
Track all communications through proficient use of CRM. Maintain a thorough and current knowledge base of the academic program(s) requirements and admission issues for the designated programs as well as a strong knowledge of the admission program requirements for all MET graduate programs.
Develop and maintain an excellent collegial working relationship with academic department faculty and staff to facilitate an efficient admissions operation.
Monitor accepted students to answer questions and facilitate matriculation. Closely monitor accepted students to maximize matriculation.
Work to facilitate the hand-off of matriculating students to the academic departments to ensure a smooth and seamless transition from the students' point of view.
Work with marketing representatives, under the direction of the Executive Director of Graduate Admissions and Enrollment Services, to strategize, create, and distribute marketing materials.
Participate in the creation and presentation of webinars as well as open houses.
